Powerful things are happening in our neck of the woods!
This weekend we resumed a men's discipleship cohort known as "Yokefellows." The name comes from a Greek word found in Philippians 4:3 -- σύζυγος, which is translated "true companion" in most Bible translations, but also "yokefellow" in some. There's so much rich imagery in scripture around the idea of a yoke (such as Matthew 11:28-30). Back in January, these gents latched onto the idea of being dedicated to one another in shared purpose -- becoming more like Jesus.
It was beautiful to listen as the 8 men who have been meeting with us since January told the 2 new guys about how much their lives, families, & personal ministry were impacted by sharing one another’s burdens, praying for one another, studying the Word, and reading & practicing the spiritual disciplines.
I ask you to pray for these 10 men as they dig in to what it means to be a disciple and make disciples this Fall. This week, we resume our reading of Donald Whitney's Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life with the chapter on fasting. It will be a fun one to practice together!

Colorado WLEX: Wilderness Leadership Expeditions
Join us in Southern Colorado this Summer!
We will offer a variety of Wilderness Leadership Expeditions (WLEX) in Summer 2023. Details are being finalized, but here’s our tentative plan:
6-Day Men’s Backpacking Colorado
June 26 - July 1, 2023 | 6 days, 5 nights | Intro to backpacking with summits in the Colorado Rockies. Fly fishing optional!
6-Day Rocky Mountain Family Camp
July 3-8, 2023 | 6 days, 5 nights | Family activities at Rocky Mountain Lodge on the Conejos River, over the Fourth of July holiday!
6-Day Men’s Explore the Rocky Mountains
July 10-15, 2023 | 6 days, 5 nights | Basecamp in the Conejos Valley with daily adventures to explore the wild high country. Fishing, paddling/kayaking, day hikes, & more!
10-Day College & Young Adult Backpacking Colorado
July 21-30, 2023 | 10 days, 9 nights | Intro to backpacking with summits in the Colorado Rockies, including paddling. Fly fishing optional!
